2017 is set to be another exciting year with many areas of Victoria rolling into the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The first of January marked the first day of the scheme in Central Highlands.

The team in Ballarat is excited for the opportunities the scheme will bring for the people they support and has been working hard to ensure each person we support feels confident with their transition.

The team has also been out and about, talking with people about the NDIS and what Scope can do for them. At Bridge Mall they were joined by Alan and Alanah who access our services and enjoyed chatting to everyone about what they do with Scope and more importantly what gigs they have coming up with their band The Sugar Bells.

Alanah is a big music fan and enjoys singing in the band.

The NDIS will provide Alanah with more opportunities to develop her music.

“I love singing and music. My favourite song to sing is Zombie. I can’t wait to do more concerts this year”, said Alanah.
