Every one of us has the fundamental right to live with dignity, respect, freedom and safety. These rights are outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
At Scope, making these rights a reality is central to who we are and what we do. In 2016, Scope’s Human Rights Project developed a framework and recommendations to help us further develop a rights-based culture in our organisation.
We want to create more opportunities for people with disability to step into leadership positions. To make this happen, we are piloting two Customer Reference Groups in the North Metropolitan and Greater Geelong areas between now and June.
We are looking for two experienced group facilitators to lead these Customer Reference Groups. If you have energy, integrity, passion and have a disability, this person could be you. People who use augmentative and alternative communication are encouraged to apply.
