Why is work experience important to Hayden?

At Scope, its always about people with a disability and how we can support them bring possibilities to life.

This International Day of People with a Disability, we are delighted to bring to you Hayden’s story. Hayden, a customer of Scope Lifestyle Options, Warragul, has always wanted to be independent and work.

Six years ago, he got the opportunity to volunteer at a local cafe – Frankie’s, and didn’t stop to think twice before grabbing it.
He started at front of house greeting customers and doing small jobs. He soon worked his way towards the being a kitchen hand, and is now involved in food preparation and cooking, and takes on new tasks and challenges with ease.
