At Scope Social Connections, we offer fun, supportive day programs for adults with disabilities. Our programs are all about helping you connect with others, learn new skills, and achieve your personal goals.
We believe in creating a safe, inclusive community where you can express yourself and try new things. Whether you want to make new friends, develop a new skill, find a new hobby, or simply spend your days doing things you enjoy, our programs are designed to help you grow in ways that matter most to you.
What happens at Social Connections?
There are plenty of things to do! We offer a wide variety of activities, including sport, art, music, and recreational activities. You could go swimming, bowling, rock-climbing, try your luck at bingo, or enjoy lunch at a café. It’s all about getting out and about, meeting new people, and learning new skills.
Our groups are diverse in age, ability, and interests and they're run by a friendly team with plenty of experience to support you. Before you start, we’ll get to know you as a person and design a program that’s right for you.
Programs built around you
Programs of Support is a flexible approach to Social Connections that gives participants more choice in the activities and experiences they take part in, by signing up for a six-month program. Through the My Program Choices process, participants can choose activities that match their interests, goals, routines and lifestyle while building connections, developing skills and increasing community participation.
Designed to support personalised planning and greater flexibility, Programs of Support allows participants to work with their support network to create a program that suits their needs and preferences. From creative and wellbeing activities to community outings and social experiences, participants can explore opportunities that matter most to them.

What is a Program of Support?
A Program of Support is a group-based program of activities that assists you to reach your goals and outcomes. It is an approved NDIS program, listed in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits
What is My Program Choices?
My Program Choices is the name we give the agreed activities that you choose for your semester one and semester two for your six-month Programs of Support.
Are Programs of Support (POS) activities only for full days of support?
Activity program times will be outlined on your Social Connections My Program Choices flyer. There are morning activities, afternoon activities and full-day activities. You can choose the days you want to attend Social Connections and the activities that you want to do.

What is the process for Programs of Support?
Consultation & Co-design
Co-design discussions with Clients, Family, Supporters or Nominees, Support Workers, and Site Managers to identify goals and activities that address clients' goals, desires and needs.
This will inform activities on offer, bringing greater choice and flexibility.
Selection & Sign-up
Clients will select their Program of Support activities.
Review & Scheduling
Site Managers / Coordinators work to schedule and refine individual Programs of Support. This includes rostering of required support workers, ensuring that clients have adequate funding available within their NDIS to support their selected activities of choice.
Program Delivery
The six-month Program of Support activities will be delivered in alignment with a client’s chosen activities and schedule.
Review & planning
During this time, clients can request changes to their activities, within any agreed funding, with a four-week notice period.
The co-design conversations and planning process will continue on a six-monthly basis, to ensure that available activities are aligned to client goals, wants and needs.
Site Managers/Coordinators will check in 12 weeks into the semester for feedback on your programs
Can I choose the duration of my Program of Support?
No, the Program of Support Scope Social Connections is offering is set for 6 months. However, Programs of Support allows for activity changes which involve less administration, provided you give four weeks' notice and that new activity costs are within your approved funding limits.
Can I purchase more than one Program of Support semester at a time?
Yes. We encourage you to sign up for the length of your NDIS plan to ensure there is no disruption to your support. It is easy to cancel if you choose to leave the program. You just need to provide at least two weeks’ notice to exit the program.
What do I need to do if I choose to cancel or exit my Program of Support?
You will need to contact your Service Coordinator/Site Manager and provide two weeks’ notice to cancel permanently and exit the program.

How do I pay for a Program of Support?
Your Program of Support is NDIS funded and is an approved NDIS program option set out in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2025-26. The Program of Support encompasses all relevant funding activities and streamlines the billing process for all your selected supports and activities (excluding out of pocket activity costs not covered by the NDIS). Scope will claim or bill weekly.
All NDIS claimable items in your Program of Support will be outlined in your Service Agreement
What is the cost of a Program of Support?
The total cost for the NDIS-funded Program of Support is made up of the individual costs of the support required to facilitate and help you participate in the activities you choose. This is outlined in your Service Agreement.
The Program Participation Fee for any out-of-pocket cost of activities and program related transport will be set out in the Social Connections My Choices flyer so you can make informed decisions when choosing activities for your semester one and two programs.
Does Programs of Support include the cost of activities I participate in?
Depending on the activities you choose, there may be an out-of-pocket Program Participation Fee to cover activity-related consumables and resources not covered by the NDIS. Examples include ingredients for cooking programs or resources for art or craft activities.
These costs will be outlined in the My Program Choices activity selection process and billed at a pre-set rate to give you full transparency to make informed decisions when choosing activities. Other out-of-pocket costs may include entry fees or the cost of lunches or coffees when participating in community activities. These will be paid for by you direct to the provider, restaurant or café.
Will I still be charged Capital Centre-based Costs and Non-face-to-face costs?
Capital Centre-based Costs and Non-face-to-face programs costs are included in your Programs of Support package. This means there is no additional charge. You will see these costs outlined in your Service Agreement.
How will transport be charged?
Transport during service delivery will be charged under Programs of Support and will be included in the costs of the group activity you attend. Any costs will be clearly indicated in the activity costs in the My Program Choices flyer. If taxis are used for program activities, the taxi provider will arrange a service agreement with you directly.
Is my transport to and from home to social connections included in the Programs of Support?
Transport to and from home and social connections is not included in the Program of Support. You will need organise and pay for your own transport to and from your Social Connections programs.
Will I be charged when there is a planned closure of Social Connections?
You will not be charged for any service closures.
What if the activity is disrupted will clients be charged for additional expenses?
If an activity is disrupted for any reason, we will provide an equivalent replacement activity. You will be charged for the activity but not for any additional costs associated with the replacement activity.
Will I be billed if I go on holiday during the semester, or if I am absent for an extended period?
With Programs of Support, you sign up to the six-month semester of activities and agree the costs for the activities you choose. If you have planned or unplanned absences during the six-month Program of Support, you will still be billed. The NDIS short notice cancellation rules do not apply to Program of Support.
How long will I be billed for if I am absent for an extended period of time?
You will be billed for a total of 4 consecutive weeks, from when you stopped attending.
This is also set out in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2025-26
How do I exit the program?
If you choose to exit Programs of Support, you need to provide two weeks’ notice to exit/leave the program. If you want to return at later date you will need to re-apply to return to the Program.
What if I need more funding from the NDIS to pay for the program?
Scope can provide you a quote for your Plan Review (Reassessment) based on your goals and outcomes so you can take to your Plan Review (Reassessment) meeting.
What is a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS)?
The PDS outlines essential information and specific terms, and conditions of Programs of Support at Scope Social Connections. By signing it, you and Scope enter into an agreement to access Scope’s services. The PDS is in addition to your existing Service Agreement and Terms and Conditions.
What happens after I sign the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS)?
Your Coordinator/Site Manager will work with you and your nominee or circle of support to create and choose your 6-month timetable of activities. You can work with us to choose the activities you would like to do and the goals and outcomes you aim to achieve.
Will I be issued with a new Service Level Agreement?
Yes, if the activities you choose cost more than your current Service Level Agreement.
Your 48-week funding will be split into two (2) 24-week blocks to calculate how much you have to spend on each 6-month program.
