Are you an artist that loves to create works challenging assumptions about disability? Do you live with a disability yourself? If this sounds like you, then we encourage you to apply for the 2022 Lesley Hall Arts and Disability Scholarship.

Lesley Hall was a conscientious supporter for disability human rights. Throughout her life disability advocacy and support for marginalised communities prompted her to make life altering changes in our society. In addition to her numerous achievements, Lesley was foundational to the growth and establishment of the NDIS.

The Lesley Hall Arts and Disability Scholarship is designed to empower a diverse group of people with disability to share their perspectives and showcase their works through visual art, photography, poetry, writing, short film, theatrical or dance pieces. It gives people with disability a platform for self-expression and a way to share their talents with the community.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • identify as a person with disability
  • live in Victoria
  • have an active arts practice

If successful, artists will receive $5,000. More information can be found on the AAV website
