Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

In these changing times, we are here to support you.

With Melbourne going back to Stage 3 restrictions, here’s how we’re responding:

Supported Independent Living services & visitors

The government has introduced new restrictions which limit visits to caregiving, compassionate reasons and service provision.

This means visits should be limited to caregiving, therapy, health or advocacy.

Please call your house supervisor/coordinator to organise any visits or to connect in other ways.

Our SIL services have adjusted to this ‘new normal’ since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Our teams are supporting customers to stay active and engaged while staying home. We’ll be reminding customers about why that’s important and what else they can do to stay connected.

Day and Lifestyle Options & Therapy services (Only for sites in Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire areas)

We will stop all face to face therapy & DLO services as of tomorrow (Thursday 9 July), for sites in Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire areas. Therapy and DLO centres will close until further notice. We’ll continue offering telepractice to therapy customers and work with DLO customers to support you at home.

All customers will be contacted by your service to discuss how we can support you during this time.

All our office staff will continue to work remotely.

The health and wellbeing of our customers, families and employees continue to be our focus and priority. We’re doing everything we can to be responsive and follow the government’s guidelines.

As times get tough, so does our resolve as a community. We will keep supporting each other with compassion and empathy as we walk this path together.

Please contact the Scope COVID-19 Support Line on 1300 4 72673 or email covid19@scopeaust.org.au if you have any questions.

Thank you all for your support.
