COVID-19 Statewide Restrictions and Vaccinations

Premier Daniel Andrews has reintroduced Statewide COVID-19 restrictions with increasing concern for community transmission in regional Victoria.

This means regional Victoria restrictions now align with Metropolitan Melbourne – except for the curfew. Across Victoria there are now five reasons to leave your home:

  1. to get the food and the supplies you need
  2. to exercise for up to two hours no more than 5km from your home
  3. for care or caregiving
  4. authorised work or education if you can’t do it from home
  5. to get vaccinated at the nearest possible location.

At present, these restrictions will be in place until 11.59pm on Thursday, 2 September. You can see the latest DHHS Coronavirus information here.
