Scope awarded Victoria Day Award for Public and Community Service

Scope is proud to announce that we have received the award for Public and Community Service at this years Victoria Day Awards in Melbourne
The award was accepted by Scope Director Rob Bowen who took the opportunity to reinforce Scope’s mission.
“People Scope supports are at the heart or everything we do, we are led by their voices and aspirations.”
“Scope’s mission is to enable each person we support to live as an empowered and equal citizen. This means they have access to the same opportunities as everyone else – social, economic and political participation.” Mr Bowen said.
He was accompanied by just two people Scope supports – Geoff Steer, an awarded writer and Lyn Rowe, a Scope Educator who works in communities, schools and businesses across Victoria building people’s understanding of disability.
The State of Victoria is recognised for national and international leadership in inclusiveness for people with a disability. Scope is a proud Victorian organisation and is committed to creating a more inclusive future for all Victorians.
