Updated Coronavirus Restrictions

Published on 12/02/2021

Once again, we are facing a new challenge as the pandemic continues to evolve. Over the last year, we’ve successfully navigated the highs and lows and I’m confident we can do this again.

With Victoria going back to restrictions over the next few days, we’re responding quickly and doing what we need to do to keep everyone safe.

In line with the Government’s restrictions, we will continue with our heightened infection control procedures and we’re making the following changes to our services:

SIL – visitor restrictions

The new restrictions mean there are to be no visitors to SIL homes, except for caregiving.

DLO and therapy – services closed

We will be stopping all therapy and DLO services until further notice. Telepractice appointments that are already scheduled will go ahead.

STAA

We are contacting families to assess essential needs for STAA and will cancel any ‘non essential’ bookings.

As we’ve seen over the last year, things can change quickly with this pandemic. Rest assured, we will do our best to keep you updated as we receive more information.

Last year, we enacted our pandemic plan and adjusted to this ‘new normal’, so we’re well placed to make these adjustments with confidence.

At the same time, we know these changes can take their toll so please reach out if you have any concerns.

Please speak to our teams or contact the Scope COVID-19 Support Line on 1300 4 72673 or email covid19@scopeaust.org.au.

Let’s continue to work together as a community to look after each other in these challenging times.
