Scope congratulates the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission for being awarded the Communication Access Symbol

The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission has demonstrated commitment to providing best practice services to people with communication difficulties and has been awarded the Communication Access Symbol.

Do you or a family member have a communication difficulty?

Do you require the services of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission? Now you can be assured that the Commission will meet the highest standards in communicating with you. In December 2014, the Commission was awarded Communication Access status by Scope. Over a period of three months, all Commission staff participated in Disability Awareness and Communication Access training. Communication resources were developed and staff were trained on how to use these resources effectively.

The Commission provides services in a number of different ways. You can meet the staff face-to-face, you can call, you can use the National Relay Service, you can email and you can use ‘live chat’. Whichever way you choose to contact the Commission, staff have the communication skills and tools needed to make sure you can get your message across.

Congratulations to the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission for recognising that communication is a key area of access for all.
