Calling creative clients!

Scope clients who use our services in Melbourne, Ballarat or Geelong, are invited to express interest in participating in an arts mentorship that is being run with Arts Access Victoria.

This visual arts mentorship will give an artist the opportunity to learn from an experienced artist, build new skills, and work towards creative goals.

One mentorship is available, it will start later this year and go for three months. The selected artist will be invited to show their artwork in a group exhibition and participate in this year’s Kaleidoscope exhibition.

The mentorship plan will be made to suit the needs of the participant. It will be at Collingwood Yards art studio for Melbourne artists who live close by or at a location that suits the artist.

This mentorship honours Uncle Greg Muir, a First Nations Scope client and artist who passed away in 2024. Uncle Greg was a Yorta Yorta visual and performance artist. Uncle Greg took part in an arts mentorship in 2015. It helped him grow as an artist and meant a lot to him. Applications open Thursday, 26 March and close on Sunday, 31 May.

To apply, clients can fill out this form, or apply through a phone call, a Teams call, or by sending a video. Please include three to five images of your artwork. The mentorship is suited to artists who are ready to commit and grow their arts practice.

If you have any questions please email the Community Inclusion team at [email protected]

Identification of underpayments impacting current and former employees

In July, we identified four issues involving underpayments that have affected how we pay some of our employees. We regret that this has occurred and are sorry for the impact this has had on employees who have been affected. Our people give so much every day, and it’s disappointing that we didn’t get this right.
