Ashleigh is a four-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. Like lots of kids, she is bright and energetic with a mind of her own. And that hasn’t stopped her from wanting to run rings around her mum!
Thanks to the generous support of the Scope community and months of intense therapy and hard work, Ashleigh recently took her first steps using the Hart Walker.
This $12,000 specialised walking aid gives children with a disability the chance to walk independently.
“It’s hard to put into words how I felt when I saw Ashleigh standing upright and in the Hart Walker for the first time. The most powerful thing for me was the look on her face, Ashleigh was just so proud of herself!” – Judy, Ashleigh’s mum.
