Scope stands against violence.

In Australia, one in four women, aged 18 and over, will experience intimate partner violence, and one in five will experience sexual violence. But for women with disabilities, their chances are doubled.

As today marks White Ribbon Day, it's important to take a moment to reflect on these harrowing statistics, and the importance of raising awareness about domestic violence and its impact on women. At Scope, we stand together in our commitment to a safer and more inclusive society and ending all forms of violence.

Violence against women with disabilities often remains hidden, compounding the challenges they face. Education is a powerful tool in dismantling stereotypes and fostering empathy, and Scope remains dedicated to spreading awareness about the intersection of abuse faced by women with disabilities.

Listen to and believe survivors, and stand up against any form of violence or discrimination.
