Dysphagia Benchmarking Project: Benchmarks of Best Practice for Managing Dysphagia in Disability Services

The Dysphagia Benchmarking Project aimed to develop, implement and evaluate benchmarks of best practice for dysphagia (swallowing impairments) services for adults with disability.

A key aim was to use the results of the research to develop a DVD training resource that supports the promotion and implementation of the benchmarks.

The new resource ‘Quality Mealtime Support Training Resource: Mealtime assistance for adults with eating and swallowing difficulties‘ is designed for use by speech pathologists and other health professionals in mealtime assistance training for disability support workers.

This is available for purchase in our online shop now.

This project was funded by the Grosvenor Foundation and was a collaboration between Scope, Able Australia, and Yooralla.
