There’s always something happening at Bass Coast Social Connections!
Our programs are designed to help you explore new interests, develop independence, and have fun in your local community.

Some of our popular activities include:

  • Bowling & All-Ability Tennis -Stay active and enjoy friendly competition.
  • Page Turners Book Club -Discover new stories and connect over shared reads.
  • Games & Sports Challengers -Build teamwork and coordination through group play.
  • Around the World Cooking -Learn recipes from different cultures and sharpen life skills.
  • Green Thumb Gardening Group -Grow plants, friendships, and a love for nature.
  • Aqua Adventures at Wonthaggi YMCA -Have fun in the pool and boost fitness.
  • Artist Workshop -Express your creativity through art and craft projects.
  • Coffee & Chat -Relax, socialise, and catch up with friends.
  • Let’s Get Loud at Youki’s Shed -Enjoy live music and creative expression.
  • Social Group & BBQ Fridays -End the week with good food and great company.

We also host special events like Movie Nights and the Surf the Sound Silent Disco, adding extra excitement to the program

Team Leader

Bola Ogundele is Pakenham and Bass Coast Social Connections Team Leader and works across the two services. Bola works at Bass Coast Social Connections on a Thursday and Friday. Bola is hardworking, looks for constant improvement, is kind and understanding.

Ollie Hill

Disability Support Worker and Communication Champion

Ollie Hill works at Bass Coast Social Connections and is Pakenham and Bass Coast Communication Champion. Ollie is enthusiastic, understanding and enjoys getting to know new people. Ollie works hard to advocate for the people we support providing them with opportunities and choices. Ollie works at Bass Coast Social Connections on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

“I enjoy most about Bass Coast Social Connections is the meaningful interactions and community involvement. I really value the experiences I have with both participants and families we build strong connections without feeling rushed. The participants feel supported which creates trust and understanding which a great environment to work in. I love being out in the community engaging in different activities and building new skills.”
