In Australia, one in four women, aged 18 and over, will experience intimate partner violence, and one in five will experience sexual violence. But for women with disabilities, their chances are doubled.
In early December, Bankstown NSW was a sea of smiles and colour when supported employees, students, families, staff and community came together to celebrate the 2023 Client Achievement Awards.
“This was the first-time post COVID-19 that we have been able to bring everyone together”, said Stephen Price, General Manager Packaging Solutions.
“I just wanted to bottle the excitement in the room.” The Client Achievement Awards showcased the many achievements of our supported employees and jobseekers including our Registered Training Organisation (METS) and school leaver employment support programs.
In addition, businesses were recognised for their commitment and support in making available employment opportunities for people with disability. Supported employees in the Packaging Solutions program were also recognised for milestones in their length of service.
“With more than 600 people in the room, the buzz and joy was something to behold,” said Stephen.

A special shout out to our 2023 event committee and sponsors Kennards Hire, VisiCase, Solver, Barilla and Bankstown Sports Club – thank you! And to our special guests on the day, The Hon. Amanda Rishworth MP, Minister for Social Service and fan favourite retired NRL Super Star, Josh Reynolds.
Congratulations to all 2023 Award recipients!
