Scope statement

Scope supports a constitutionally enshrined First Nations Voice to Parliament.

Scope accepts the gracious invitation of the Uluru Statement from the Heart to seek a better future together and believe this aligns with our own purpose and vision to see people belong, thrive and live their dreams.

We believe a Voice to Parliament will provide meaningful recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in Australia’s constitution.

A Voice will also enable First Nations people to have a say about laws and policies that impact their lives. It would create a clear pathway and direct communication so they can offer insights and practical solutions to the challenges.

We believe this will lead to better outcomes for First Nations peoples, and a more inclusive and equitable future for us all.

We commit to sharing information and accessible resources to help people we support and their families, our employees and the wider community to understand a Voice to Parliament.

We recognise that there is a diversity of views about this historical decision and the upcoming referendum. We encourage everyone to learn, understand and make their own informed decision.
