Emily, Community Inclusion Manager at Scope: The main goal of inclusive hockey is really to give people with multiple and complex disability an opportunity to play a brand new highly modified sport. So there's been a lot of experimentation on how people can either hold the sticks or the sticks can be attached to people's wheelchairs so that's been really interesting experience for everyone to go through that process to work out the best way how people can be supported by a support worker or how they can operate their own wheelchairs on court.
Michael, Player and Co-Facilitator of Inclusive Hockey: My name is Michael I've played sports all my life. Well I played hockey with one hand. I got hand one hand on the controls on my chair the other hand holding the hockey stick. I felt nervous cuz it's a new experience for me and then and then I started getting comfortable because the people around me. I know most of people and I thought to myself yeah I'm
going to be good at this. My favourite position is defence cuz I think I can help the guys a lot better than any other positions on the team.

Michelle: yeah

Norman: Yep
Interviewer: So you have captained the team a few times?
Norman: Yep.

Gerard: Forward.
Interviewer: Why you like to play forward?
Gerard: Yeah.
