Scope wins bid to tackle rising cyber risks
Scope is pleased to be one of only nine recipients of the eSafety Commissioner’s 2022 Online Safety Grants.

The Right Direction project was set up by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguards Commission. The project is being done by the University of Melbourne, the University of Queensland, VALID, National Disability Services, Ability First Australia, Scope and Multicap.
We would like to invite family members who have an active role in their relative’s life including in behaviour support planning or who wish they have been included in that behaviour support planning process.
This project is finding out about how to engage people with disability and family carers in engaging in the development of the person’s behaviour support plan (BSP). A BSP describes a person’s challenging behaviours. It says why people think the person is using challenging behaviour. It says what the person needs so they do not have to use the challenging behaviour. It describes how to improve the person’s quality of life. A BSP also says what families and staff can do if the behaviour happens. It says how to keep people safe.
The law says that people with disability and their families must be involved in writing the behaviour support plan (BSP). But the NDIS found that over 60% of people with disability and their families are not involved in the behaviour support planning process.
This project is collecting information from family carers about their experiences of behaviour support planning in a 30-45 minute survey.
The survey will be distributed by AFA’s partner, Edentify. This is an organisation which, as you will know, will provide points to you leading to payments based upon survey completion.
If you wish to find out more about this project and take part in the survey, please enter the survey at the following address:
