Australians will soon be asked to vote yes or no to change the Australian Constitution in the Voice referendum.

It’s an historical moment for all of us, but most importantly for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A “yes” result would mean Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples would have a say in decision making on issues that affect them. Scope supports this outcome because it aligns with our purpose, vision and values.

We understand there is a diversity of views about the referendum, and it can be a tough topic of conversation. That’s why we’re pleased to be able to share this conversation guide from Yes23 with you.

There are also translated and Easy English resources that go into more detail about the referendum and Scope’s position in relation to it.

We encourage everyone to learn about the referendum and make their own informed decision by visiting:

By embracing this approach, disability support services aim to empower individuals, foster independence, and promote inclusion within society.
