At Shannon Park Social Connections, we bring together fun, learning, and connection in a warm, supportive environment. Our centre is designed to help participants develop skills, make friends, and enjoy new experiences every day.

What’s happening at Shannon Park Social Connections?

Every week at Shannon Park is full of opportunities to learn, connect, and explore the community. Our programs are flexible, fun, and designed to suit every interest and ability.

Some of our popular activities include:

  • Hydrotherapy - Relax, strengthen, and boost wellbeing in our warm water pool.
  • Ten Pin Bowling & Balloon Football – Stay active, build teamwork, and have fun.
  • Garden & Grow – Learn how to grow herbs and vegetables for our cooking sessions.
  • Cooking & Baking – Build life skills, cook healthy meals, and share them with friends.
  • Music & Band Practice – Join in singing, drumming, or playing instruments together.
  • Art & Craft – Explore creativity through sensory art, painting, and group projects.
  • Exercise & Movement – Stay fit with group fitness, yoga, and dance sessions.
  • Community Outings – Visit local cafés, go shopping, or enjoy outdoor adventures.
  • Relax & Rejuvenate Fridays – Unwind with social catch-ups, bingo, and movie club.

We also host special events throughout the year, such as holiday programs, picnic days, and themed celebrations that bring everyone together

Darren’s Story

Darren’s goal is building life skills while participating in social activities at Shannon Park. Darren has a passion to cook and really enjoys creating food to share with others. Darren attends the cooking classes every week. He loves being able to be hand on and share his love of cooking with his support workers and his friends.
