At Scope, we’re proud to recognise the dedicated staff who help people with disability live the life they choose.
Through our Belong and Thrive Awards, we celebrate the people and teams who bring Scope’s values to life every day. The awards recognise excellence across five categories: We Celebrate People, We Excel Together, We Act Bravely, Frontline Impact, and Team Excellence. Winners are selected by a committee made up of employees and clients.
One of our most recent recipients is Allyson Dillon, a Support Worker, who was recognised with the We Act Bravely Award for her exceptional leadership, compassion, and commitment to high-quality support.
Allyson consistently leads by example, encouraging both participants and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes. She is known for her calm and confident approach, particularly when supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours. Through patience, understanding, and strong communication, she helps people feel safe, respected, and empowered.
A passionate advocate for inclusion, Allyson actively supports participants to engage in meaningful community activities, including fishing, walking, bike riding, and visiting the library. She also invests in the growth of her colleagues, helping them build confidence and develop the skills needed to provide outstanding support.
The award selection committee unanimously agreed that Allyson’s nomination was an outstanding example of what it means to Act Bravely. Members were particularly impressed by her leadership, professionalism, and dedication to improving the lives of the people she supports. One committee member noted that Allyson is exactly the type of person they would want supporting their own loved ones.
Thank you, Allyson, for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to helping people with disability live the life they choose.
